Dwarka, Somnath and the Saurashtra Coast
A jyotirlinga, a dham, and the Arabian Sea the whole way along.

The journey
Dwarkadhish and Somnath are the reason to come, and the Saurashtra coast between them is why five nights beats three. Bet Dwarka by boat, Nageshwar jyotirlinga, Porbandar, and Somnath's aarti with the sea behind it.
Before you book
- Official access
- Dwarkadhish, Nageshwar and Somnath are all open queue with free darshan. Somnath offers paid VIP darshan and an aarti pass through the temple trust; where it is available for your dates we book it and show you the receipt. No temple on this route sells a guaranteed slot, and we will not imply one does.
- Physical grade
- Easy — the gentlest circuit we sell in this category. Flat ground throughout, short walks from car park to temple, no altitude. The Bet Dwarka boat involves a step down into a launch that moves with the swell.
- Senior & access fit
- Good. This is the pilgrimage we suggest when someone wants a dham and a jyotirlinga but Char Dham is out of the question. Wheelchair accessible at Somnath and largely so at Dwarkadhish. The Bet Dwarka boat is the one obstacle and it can be skipped without losing the point of the trip.
- Meals & observance
- Gujarat is the easiest state in India for this. Pure vegetarian everywhere, Jain provision genuinely available and understood, and no-onion-garlic arranged as standard rather than as a favour.
- When it runs
- October–March. Avoid the monsoon; May heat on this coast is punishing.
What stands out
- Dwarkadhish temple, and Bet Dwarka by boat
- Nageshwar — one of the twelve jyotirlingas — on the same stretch of coast
- Somnath evening aarti, with the sound-and-light show after it
- Porbandar and Gandhi's birthplace on the road between
- Flat, coastal, and by far the gentlest circuit on this list
