Holidays

Some trips are for seeing things. Some are for recovering.

Wellness travel — Ayurveda, yoga, and journeys built around rest rather than a list of sights. Planned honestly, including when the time you have doesn't suit what you're picturing.

The programmes

Where, and for how long.

Every card states two things the category usually avoids: whether the programme is physician-led or practitioner-led, and the minimum stay that makes it worth doing. Seven days of panchakarma is a reset. Fourteen is the treatment. We would rather move your dates than sell you the first and call it the second.

All wellness journeys, in no particular order.

Programmes

You go for the programme. An assessment, a prescribed course, a review — and a minimum stay the centre enforces because the treatment needs it. Quiet, disciplined, and largely solitary.

Retreats at hotels

A hotel running a real programme rather than a spa menu. Shorter, gentler, and the version two people can do together — one takes the programme, the other has the holiday. We say plainly where each sits.

None of these carries a price yet. Each is costed to your dates, your programme and the centre once it is confirmed — and the centre is matched to you at that point rather than chosen off a page. Flights from Chennai are quoted in the same document, itemised separately.

Three different things

“Wellness” covers three trips that share nothing.

Ayurveda

Kerala

Genuine panchakarma runs 14–21 days, not a weekend. The monsoon months are the traditional season, which is exactly when most people assume Kerala is closed. We will tell you if the programme you are picturing needs more time than you have.

Yoga & retreat

Rishikesh, Kerala, Bali

Ashram discipline and resort retreat are two very different weeks. One has a 5am bell and shared rooms; the other has a spa menu. Both are valid — knowing which you actually want is the whole decision.

Rest, deliberately

Anywhere with nothing to do

Not every wellness trip is a programme. Sometimes the requirement is a quiet place, no itinerary, and nobody asking you to be anywhere. We plan those too, and they are harder to plan well than they look.

How we plan it

Four things we settle first.

We ask what you're actually after

Recovery, a reset, a discipline, or simply quiet. These produce completely different trips, and the word 'wellness' hides the difference.

We're honest about duration

The most common disappointment in this category is a serious programme compressed into a long weekend. If the time doesn't fit the intention, we say so before you book.

We check the practical things

Dietary requirements, mobility, how far the centre is from an airport, and whether a companion travelling with you has anything to do.

The therapy stays with the practitioners

We arrange travel, stay and transfers, and we coordinate with the centre. We do not advise on treatment or promise a result — that belongs to the people qualified to give it.

Tell us what you need from it.

How long you have, and whether this is a programme or a rest. That is enough for us to say what is realistic. A specialist replies within 4 working hours.
