Services

Boring until it's the only thing that matters.

We arrange travel cover alongside the booking, matched to where you are going and what you plan to do there. Then we tell you plainly what it does not cover.

Ask us to arrange it

Tell us the trip. We'll come back with the cover.

Where you are going, roughly when, and how many of you. A consultant matches the policy to the itinerary and to any visa requirement, and tells you what it excludes before you pay for it.

The policy is issued by a licensed insurer, not by Champion. We don't ask about anyone's medical history here — the insurer asks that, on their own form.

What Champion does here, exactly

We arrange travel insurance through licensed insurers as part of putting your trip together, and we make sure the cover matches your itinerary and your visa requirement. The policy is issued by the insurer, not by Champion. They underwrite it, they price it, and they decide claims. What we take responsibility for is that you are not travelling on a policy that excludes the thing you came to do.

Before you buy any policy

Six things worth checking.

Does your visa require it?
Schengen applications require medical cover of at least €30,000 across the zone. Several other countries have their own minimums. A visa file without the right policy is refused on a technicality, not on merit.
Is the thing you're actually doing covered?
Standard policies commonly exclude adventure activity, and 'adventure' is defined more broadly than people expect — trekking above a certain altitude, diving, even a quad bike on a beach. If the trip has an activity at its heart, that is the first clause to read.
Pre-existing conditions
Most standard cover excludes them unless declared and accepted. Declaring is not the risky move; not declaring is.
What is the actual medical limit?
The headline sum insured and the sub-limit that applies to a hospital room are different numbers. The second one is what you meet on the day.
Cancellation — and for which reasons
Trip cancellation cover is narrower than most travellers assume. It is worth knowing which reasons qualify before you rely on it.
Who do you call at 3am?
The insurer's assistance line, not us — and it is worth having that number saved separately from your phone.

Arranged with the trip, not bolted on after.

If we are handling your visa, we already know the cover that application needs. If we are building the itinerary, we already know whether there is a dive day or a trek in it. That is the argument for doing it in one place — not that it is cheaper, but that somebody has read both documents.

Insurance is quoted separately from your package. It is never bundled into a headline price without being named.
