Thailand
By the third morning you have stopped setting an alarm.
The same three bases as the family route, with the quiet version of every water day: sea canoes into the hongs of Phang Nga Bay, the Hong Islands off Krabi rather than the four-beach circuit, and Angthong by kayak. One morning is deliberately unbooked (the last one too, if your flight allows), every transfer is private, and no domestic flight is needed — the Andaman legs join by road and Koh Samui by catamaran.
Day by day
Arrive, transfer, check in. Nothing scheduled.
Phuket
A full day on the bay — James Bond Island, and the sea canoes through the caves into the hongs inside the limestone. Lunch aboard, back late afternoon.
The morning is yours and deliberately unbooked. After lunch, about three hours by road to the Ao Nang side of Krabi.
Krabi
Hong, Lading and Pakbia by longtail — the inner lagoon at Hong, which fills and empties with the tide, and beach time on the smaller two. Lunch included.
A travel day, honestly labelled: coach to the pier, then the catamaran across the gulf, roughly six hours door to door. Into Koh Samui by late afternoon.
Koh Samui
The marine park by boat and kayak — the islands, the snorkelling water, and the climb over the inland lagoon on Mae Ko. Lunch aboard.
A slow morning if the flight allows it, then the transfer to Koh Samui airport.
