Thailand
Three nights by the sea before anyone has to be anywhere, then the city.
Five nights, and the extra one goes to Pattaya, which is what buys a morning where nothing is scheduled. Coral Island with lunch, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and the Sanctuary of Truth by the sea; then the temples in Bangkok on a full day of their own, and the two indoor attractions at Siam on the transfer afternoon. Arriving in the city does not cost you the day here, which is the whole reason for the night split.
Day by day
Arrive in Bangkok and drive straight down — about two hours. Check in, and the evening is yours.
Pattaya
Speedboat across to Koh Larn with lunch on the island, back by mid-afternoon. The rest of the day is unscheduled.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in the morning — gardens, orchid nursery and the cultural show — and the Sanctuary of Truth in the late afternoon.
Nothing scheduled until checkout. Into the city after lunch, then SEA LIFE Bangkok and Madame Tussauds at Siam — both indoors, both open late, which is what a transfer afternoon needs.
The Grand Palace early, ahead of the heat, then Wat Pho and the reclining Buddha, and the river ferry across to Wat Arun. The evening is yours.
The morning is free, then the airport.
