The journey

Four days in one city, built around the three things people actually come to Da Nang for: the cable car up to Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge, the caves and the summit steps at the Marble Mountains, and the Son Tra headland with Lady Buddha standing over the bay. Two touring days, both private, both back before dark. The rest of the time is the beach, ten minutes from everything.

How the 4 days actually run.

  1. Day 01

    Da Nang

    Arrive, transfer, check in, and nothing scheduled. The beach is a few minutes away and the Han River waterfront is a walk — the Dragon Bridge breathes fire on weekend evenings, at the city's discretion rather than anyone's booking.

  2. Day 02

    Ba Na Hills

    The full day up at Ba Na Hills — the cable car, the French Village, the gardens and the Golden Bridge. Back in the city by late afternoon.

  3. Day 03

    Marble Mountains, then Son Tra

    Ngu Hanh Son in the morning — the Am Phu cave, the pagodas and the steps up to the viewpoint. Then out along the Son Tra peninsula for the late light, and Lady Buddha at Linh Ung pagoda.

    Home

    The morning is yours, then the airport.

  • Ba Na Hills sits at about 1,500 metres and is often inside cloud. The view from the Golden Bridge is weather, and weather is not something anyone can book for you
  • The Marble Mountains are steps — uneven, and unlit in places above the first level. Tell us who should not be climbing and we will build the morning around the lift and the lower pagodas instead
  • February to May is the dry, clear window in Da Nang. September to November is the wet season with a real typhoon risk, and we say so when you ask us to quote those dates
