• Indian passport holders require a visa for Vietnam — there is no visa-free entry. The e-visa covers up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, and is applied for online; we file it for you and the fee is not inside the price shown
• Vietnam's domestic flight baggage allowance is lower than your international ticket — we tell you the limit for your routing before you pack
• The Ninh Binh day runs about twelve hours door to door, roughly five of them in the car. It is the right day to take and the wrong one to take on the morning you land, so we place it mid-trip
• Hang Mua is close to five hundred stone steps, steep and unshaded. Nobody has to climb it — the day works without it, and we say so on the morning rather than at the bottom
• Trang An sampans are rowed by villagers on a local rota and seat four. The boat is shared unless you take the whole boat, which we can quote
