Vietnam, Da Nang and the Golden Bridge
5★ hotel in Da Nang · Breakfast · Airport transfers
A morning in the cloud at fifteen hundred metres, and a beach to come back down to.

Vietnam
Six nights, and the sixth is paid for by a day out on jade water between limestone.
Three nights in Da Nang and three in Hanoi, and the sixth night exists for one thing: a full day on Ha Long Bay with kayaking, Sung Sot Cave and the climb up Titop Island. Everything in the five-night version is still here — Ba Na Hills, the Marble Mountains, Hoi An after dark, the Old Quarter — and the day after the bay is deliberately left gentle, because the bay day starts before dawn and gets back after dark.
Day by day
Arrive, transfer, and the Son Tra peninsula in the late afternoon for Lady Buddha at Linh Ung and the road round the headland.
A full day up at Ba Na — the cable car, the Golden Bridge, the gardens and the summit village. Back in the city by evening.
Ba Na Hills · Da Nang
The Marble Mountains and the Am Phu cave in the morning, then Hoi An — the Ancient Town on foot, the lanterns, and a boat on the river. Back to Da Nang late.
Hoi An
Fly north. Check in, the afternoon is yours, and the Thang Long water puppet show in the evening — an early night, because tomorrow starts early.
Hanoi old quarter
Out to the coast at first light, then a day cruise through the bay — kayaking among the karsts, Sung Sot Cave, and the steps up Titop Island. Lunch aboard, and back in Hanoi in the evening.
Ha Long Bay
Nothing before the middle of the day. Then the Old Quarter on a street-food walk through the lanes, and coffee at Train Street if the trackside is open.
