The journey

Five nights and the whole island — the An Thoi archipelago by speedboat, the north by Jeep, the Hon Thom cable car and an evening at Sunset Town — with one completely empty day dropped in the middle and not one early start. The theme parks are deliberately not in this one; that is the family trip on this page, and we will swap them in for the rest day if you would rather have them.

How the 6 days actually run.

  1. Day 01

    Arrive, the west coast

    Land, transfer, check in, and nothing after that.

  2. Day 02

    The An Thoi islands

    Speedboat out of An Thoi — three or four islands, snorkelling stops, lunch aboard. Back by late afternoon.

  3. Day 03

    Nothing

    A full day with no excursion and no pick-up. On a five-night island trip this is what stops the other four running together.

  4. Day 04

    The north, by Jeep

    Up the west coast to Ganh Dau, with a working pepper farm and the northern beaches, and a local lunch.

  5. Day 05

    Hon Thom, then Sunset Town

    A slow morning, the cable car out to Hon Thom after lunch, and Sunset Town for the last of the light.

  6. Day 06

    Departure

    Breakfast, then the airport.

  • Day 3 is empty by design. If you would rather have VinWonders and Vinpearl Safari in it, say so and we requote — the park tickets are a real cost, so it is not a free swap
  • An Thoi sailings are most reliable from November to April, and the cable car does not run in high wind or lightning
  • The northern tracks are unpaved and the Jeep route is shortened after heavy rain — we substitute rather than cancel
