The journey

The same three nights and the same price as the honeymoon version, built round a completely different day: a full day on a speedboat through the An Thoi archipelago — three or four islands, snorkelling stops, lunch aboard. The next morning goes up on the Hon Thom cable car, out over the same chain you swam in, and the afternoon is on Sao Beach. If you want this island's water in daylight rather than its evenings, this is the one to take.

How the 4 days actually run.

  1. Day 01

    Arrive, Long Beach

    Land, transfer, check in, and the afternoon on the beach.

  2. Day 02

    The An Thoi islands

    Down to An Thoi for the speedboat — three or four islands across the day, snorkelling gear aboard, lunch on the boat. Back by late afternoon.

  3. Day 03

    Hon Thom, then Sao Beach

    The cable car out to Hon Thom in the morning, over the water you were in yesterday, then Sao Beach for the afternoon.

  4. Day 04

    Departure

    Breakfast, then the airport.

  • Which islands the boat stops at is the skipper's call on the day, made on sea conditions, and is not ours to fix in advance
