Vietnam, Saigon Nights, Island Mornings

Two nights where the city keeps you up, and two where nothing does.

Duration
5 days · 4 nights
Destination
Vietnam
Starting from
₹38,999 pp

The journey

Two nights in Ho Chi Minh City and two on Phu Quoc, 5★ at both ends, and the city half is deliberately about the city rather than the war. There is no Cu Chi tunnels day here and no Mekong day — both are full-day excursions that would cut the island short, and both sit on our shelf as trips of their own. What is here instead is a dinner cruise on the Saigon River, a half day through the centre on foot, and the AO Show at the Saigon Opera House.

What stands out

  • Dinner cruise on the Saigon River on the night you land
  • AO Show at the Saigon Opera House — bamboo, acrobatics and no dialogue to follow
  • Kiss Bridge at the island's southern tip, timed for the sunset
  • The An Thoi archipelago by speedboat, with the Hon Thom cable car over open water

Day by day

How the 5 days actually run.

  1. Day 01

    Ho Chi Minh City

Arrive, private transfer, and a dinner cruise on the Saigon River — the city goes past at walking pace, which is the only way it ever does.

    Ho Chi Minh City

  2. Day 02

    The city

A half day through the centre on foot and by car with a guide, the afternoon free, and the AO Show at the Saigon Opera House in the evening.

  3. Day 03

    To Phu Quoc

The short flight south-west to the island — direct and frequent on this leg. Check in, and Kiss Bridge at the southern tip for the sunset.

    Phu Quoc

  4. Day 04

    The An Thoi islands

A speedboat day through the southern archipelago with snorkelling stops and lunch aboard, and the Hon Thom cable car. The evening is yours.

  5. Day 05

    Departure

    Transfer to the airport.

What's included

  • 2 nights in a 5★ hotel in Ho Chi Minh City with breakfast
  • 2 nights in a 5★ beach resort in Phu Quoc with breakfast
  • Saigon River dinner cruise with dinner aboard
  • Half-day city tour on foot and by car with an English-speaking guide
  • AO Show at the Saigon Opera House, seated tickets
  • Kiss Bridge at sunset
  • An Thoi four-island snorkelling speedboat with lunch, on a sharing basis
  • Hon Thom cable car, return
  • All airport and hotel transfers at both ends, private
  • Entrance fees wherever applicable

What's not

  • The Ho Chi Minh City–Phu Quoc domestic flight this routing needs. We book it for you; it is not inside the price shown. It is the easiest of Vietnam's internal legs — direct, and several times a day
  • Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta. Neither fits in two city nights; both are quotable as a pre-tour extension
  • Optional Phu Quoc excursions — the theme parks, the safari park and the north-island ATV tour — quoted separately on request
  • International flights
  • Visa fees and processing
  • Travel insurance
  • Meals not named in the itinerary
  • Personal expenses, tips and porterage
  • Peak-season and festive surcharges (Jul–Aug surcharges quoted separately)
  • Anything not listed under Inclusions
  • Land only · per person · twin share
  • Minimum 2 travellers
  • Rates are subject to availability and confirmation at the time of booking
  • Indian passport holders require a visa for Vietnam — there is no visa-free entry. The e-visa covers up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, and is applied for online; we file it for you and the fee is not inside the price shown
  • Vietnam's domestic flight baggage allowance is lower than your international ticket — we tell you the limit for your routing before you pack
  • The AO Show does not run every night and the Opera House goes dark for periods of the year. We book it the moment your dates are fixed, and if it is not playing that week we say so and swap the evening — we do not hold seats in advance of a booking
  • Two nights in the city is two nights. If you want Cu Chi or the Mekong as well, the honest answer is a night more, not a tighter day
  • The island boat day runs on a sharing basis and the calm-sea season is roughly November to April; between May and October we expect to move it in weather
